YWCA Vermont Stand Against Racism

Past event
May 4, 2017, 5:30 to 8 PM

The YWCA’s national Stand Against Racism initiative brings people together to raise awareness that racism still exists and can no longer be ignored or tolerated. We are beyond delighted to partner with the Peace & Justice Center and ArtsRiot this year to hear Dr. King's powerful words spoken by members of the community who are working to fight for racial justice. This speech was delivered a little over 50 years ago, on April 4, 1967 at a meeting of Clergy and Laity Concerned, at Riverside Church in New York City, exactly one year before his tragic assassination.
