Apr 29, 2017, 9 AM to 12 PM

Hello,

The City is looking for volunteers interested in removing invasive plants in City parks. This effort is starting up in City Center Park (end of Iby Street) with a training on April 29th. We will be teaching volunteers how to identify and properly remove invasive plants.

We area also asking volunteers to join us on May 20th for an Invasive Plant Removal Day at City Center Park. This event will be solely dedicated to removal of buckthorn, bush honeysuckle, and multiflora rose that is found at the park.

Both events will run from 9 am - 12 pm. Please wear good sturdy shoes (boots preferable), long pants, long sleeves, a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray. If you have a pair of gloves that you prefer, feel free to bring them. We will be providing gloves at both events.

If you are interested in participating, please register with Ashley Parker at: aparker@sburl.com, or 802-846-4146.

Come join our first Weed Warrior class today!!
