VERMONT CHORAL UNION 50th Anniversary Concert : Sunday, April 23, McCarthy Arts Center, St. Michael’s College, 3:00 p.m. A centerpiece of the program is a dazzling choral suite composed by Middlebury College alumna Christina Whitten Thomas. Also to be sung are sacred and secular songs from the Renaissance to the present by composers such as Byrd, Schütz, Brahms, Poulenc, and Barber.
