Presentation at Unitarian Church of Montpelier, Wednesday, April 19th, 7:00
Learn about Palestine, its people, history, and culture, and their experience of Israel's civilian and military occupation. Hear about the activities and commitments of Palestinian and Israeli grassroots leaders and activists.
Presenters will describe their October 2016 visits with families and the significance to Palestinians of the olive harvest. Hear of travels through much of Israel - and its rich historic and religious sites (Jewish, Muslim, and Christian) - and the West Bank, where a majority (2.4 million) of Palestinians live. Pam Walker and Peter Thoms traveled in much of the West Bank, visiting Bethlehem, Hebron, and Nablus; and, in Israel, visiting Jerusalem, Jaffa, Akko, and Nazareth.
