Neighbors,
The City Council is schedule to meet Monday, April 17, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Prior to its regular meeting, a joint work session with the Planning Commission will be held on form based code, now known as planBTV Downtown Code.
Following the work session, the City Council will meet briefly as the Local Control Commission to consider a number of applications for liquor licenses and/or outdoor consumption permits from Manhattan Pizza, Monarch and and Milkweed, Mr. Mikes, Honey Road and Five Guys.
The first item on the deliberative agenda is a resolution to adopt the planBTV Walk Bike master plan during the next Municipal Development Readoption. A copy of the plan can be downloaded at http://www.planbtvwalkbike.org/. The goal of planBTV Walk Bike is to create safer streets for everyone and make walking and biking a viable and enjoyable way to get around the City of Burlington. The second item on our deliberative agenda seeks to form an Inclusionary Zoning Working Group which will take information from the January 7, 2017 report on inclusionary zoning, as well as any public comments on the report and make recommendations to the Administration and City Council. Our final resolution proposes to amend the makeup of the form based code committee to permit newly elected City Councilor Richard Deane to continue to serve on that committee.
The City Council agenda also includes three matters that are expected to be discussed in executive session: an update on Burlington Telecom; an update on the development agreement with New Moran; and an update on the development agreement involving the Burlington Town Center.
Members of the public are invited to speak during public forum at 7:30 p.m.
Thank you,
Chip Mason
