In these charged times, it is important for all of us to pause and reflect upon where we are coming from, so that we can respond to challenges wisely rather than add to the collective confusion. The goal of any spiritual practice is to connect us to our own basic sanity, which gives us a ground for intelligent and heartfelt action. When our minds and hearts are clear and open, the difficulties we face may even bring out the best of our human potential.
Join us for an inspiring and provocative weekend as Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel shares her insights on navigating today’s world, based on Thich Nhat Hanh’s “Fourteen Precepts of Engaged Buddhism.”
Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel, author of The Power of an Open Question: The Buddha’s Path to Freedom, has studied and practiced Buddhism for 30 years. She teaches throughout the U.S. and Europe, and is known for her willingness to question the many assumptions we have about spirituality. Audiences often remark on how this approach has reinvigorated their spiritual practice and how they relate to their lives as a whole.
