On Monday, April 17 Dr. Jack Mayer will present "Weimar Germany and the Rise of the Third Reich" at noon at the Sullivan Museum and History Center at Norwich University. This Lunch and Learn program will discuss how Germany was imperiled by leftist revolution and right-wing violence after World War I. It will recount the origins of the Third Reich through the story of Ernst Werner Techow, who participated in the 1922 murder of the highest ranking Jew in the Weimar Republic, Walter Rathenau. But on offer of forgiveness set him on a complex journey of redemption.
