Please mark your calendars for the 4th Saturday Contra and Square Dance, April 22nd in Huntington Center. Bring your friends and family to the Old Huntington Town Hall for lively music provided by Sarah and John's Megaband Jam. If someone you knows plays an instrument and wants to sit in with this fun “roaring jelly” of a dance band, please bring them along! For more information about Sarah and John and the jam bands they lead, please check out www.woodburystrings.com .The dance is from 7:30- 10:30 but if you plan on playing you are welcome to come earlier to warm up with the band.
Lausanne Allen is your ever cheerful caller, with a walk through for each dance to teach the figures, so no prior experience is necessary. Feel free to bring both left feet and enliven the dance with your laughter... Our welcoming community knows how to make even first time dancers feel right at home. Come with or without a partner and come even if you simply want to enjoy watching others whirl and kick up their heels. Sliding scale admission is 6-$10 per person with a discount for families.
