Essex, VT - April 12, 2017 - With their highly engaging, synesthetic performances of “The Boy at the Edge of Everything”, the Essex High School Drama Department has won both the Regional and State One-Act Theatre Festivals, and will be representing Vermont at the 2017 New England Drama Festival in Norwood, Massachusetts on April 21st.
Artistic Director of EHS Theater, Aly Perry, proudly invites the community to attend a special performance of the show on Monday, April 17th in the EHS Auditorium at 5:30pm. All ticket proceeds will go to support the travel and accommodations for the 24 students who have brought this show to life. This wonderful opportunity comes with a financial burden for the students. The New England Drama Council supports theatre arts in high schools throughout 6 New England states and showcases two qualifying schools in each state (Vermont is also sending Milton H.S. to the festival). The festival includes performances of the shows, workshops, and forums to foster the education and discussion of theatre among attending students and directors.
