What does “sanctuary” mean to you personally? Have you ever needed it? Lost it? Found it? Given it? There is no one in this city, or this country, who has not personally or historically (through ancestors) experienced the loss of a home (one interpretation of “sanctuary”), or a homeland, and/or the need for a haven (another meaning). What does it mean for us to offer such shelter to others?
