Past event
Apr 13, 2017, 9 to 10:30 AM

Coming up Thursday morning on Goddard College Community Radio - Rural Vermont has been taking the pulse of, well, rural Vermonters. And with honey bees threatened, planting habitat for other pollinators is more important than ever.

9:00 - 10:00 am
Rural Vermont has been conducting its Groundswell conversations around the state, dialogues about land use, livelihood, food, and the future of Vermont. Organizer Graham Unangst-Rufenacht will tell us what they’ve heard so far. (The two remaining conversations scheduled are Wed April 19 at ArtsRiot, 400 Pine Street, Burlington and Wed Apr 26 at Sterling College, Simpson 3, Craftsbury Common.)

Habitat for native pollinators is more important than ever, for our native plants and agriculture. Maree Gaetan of Vermont’s Wild for Pollinators will explain what native pollinators need and what friendly steps you can take to provide them habitat.
