Summit Lake Algae Presentation

Past event
May 10, 2017, 7 to 8 PM

When the Village of Argyle had an inspection to determine if they could draw water from Summit Lake, it was denied because the Health Department found blue-green algae in the area. This is a somewhat toxic material and therefore the Village and the Town wanted to make sure our residents had appropriate information and understood precautions. You can learn a lot about blue-green algae on the internet--and some of it is actually true--but we have decided to have Rebecca Gorman, a research scientist from DEC, come to the Town Board Meeting in May to give a presentation and answer your questions. The meeting will be held at the Fire House at 7 PM on Wednesday May 10. I will have Ms. Gorman's presentation at the beginning of the meeting. Hope to see all you lake users there.
