"Photographing Wildflowers" by Chuck Helfer

The end of April is the traditional time for local wildflowers to begin blooming and the time to pull out your camera. Poultney resident and photographer Chuck Helfer will present a PowerPoint slide show about wildflower photography with an emphasis on local flowers. He will cover what makes a good flower photograph, equipment for close up photography, approaches to photographing flowers and a brief introduction to post processing. Even if you are not interested in the how-to, come and enjoy Chuck’s flower images. This presentation is being coordinated with a Nature Conservancy wildflower photography workshop that Chuck will lead on Saturday, April 29.

The goal of Stone Valley Arts is to inspire interest and participation in the arts by offering a wide variety of educational and cultural programs and experiences including classes, workshops, performances and special events in the visual, performing, and literary arts for all ages and levels of experience.
