In the late 1800s Caroline Low Peckett painted over 100 native Vermont wildflowers, from specimens picked near her home in Bradford, Vt and brought to her. The original paintings were bound in volumes and later photographed and then digitized from slides, making them available for viewing. Huntington resident Debbie Worthley, a descendent of the artist, will show the paintings in a slide show on April 13 @ 1:30 at the Richmond Library. This slideshow should inspire you to start looking for wildflowers yourself now that spring is here!
