The Rotary Club of Essex and Rotary International members unite at home and across the globe to put our experience and knowledge to work tackling our most pressing challenges.
We focus our efforts in six areas:
1. promoting peace,
2. preventing diseases, especially dedicated to ending polio in our lifetimes
3. providing access to clean water and sanitation,
4. enhancing maternal and child health,
5. improving basic education and literacy, and
6. helping communities develop.
We are especially dedicated to ending polio in our lifetimes. Rotary members have persevered in this fight since 1979 and have now helped eradicate polio in all but three countries worldwide.
Come join us for lunch. We meet every Wednesday at 12:00PM at The Essex (cost of lunch $15.00). Upcoming speakers are:
4/12/17 Lindsay Going-Swaim and Sue Minter, Partners in Adventure
4/19/17 Governor Phil Scott speaking about important Vermont issues.
