The Waterbury Public Library has been hosting a “Meet the Author” series in April. Our next “author” is editor and compiler Adam Boyce of West Winsor on Wednesday, April 19th. He will be sharing from his recent publication, “Because I Loved the Daffodil: The Writings of a Vermont Farm Wife, Mildred F. Boyce”. Mildred, Adam Boyce’s paternal grandmother, grew up in the Mad River Valley, became a teacher and librarian and her poems and articles were published in many newspapers and magazines throughout New England. Adam has compiled her writings, covering diverse topics from nature to art and practical matters, including pieces on her most beloved flower, the daffodil. Hear Mildred’s stories come alive once again through the mouthpiece of her grandson, Adam Boyce on Wednesday, April 19th from 10:30 to 11:30 in the SAL room of the library. This delightful and entertaining book will be for sale for $20.00.
