Congressman Peter Welch

This is an invitation to you to join us at Twin Valley Senior Center on Wednesday, April 12 th at 11:30am to approximately 12:30pm to meet and hear Congressman Peter Welch. He is very concerned about the Trump budget, should it pass, the impact programs that receive funding through Health and Human Services may be affected. Congressman would like to bring attention to the importance of the programs for seniors and our safety net programs in general. Congressman Welch and our other Vermont Delegation are fighting for the low income, disabled and yes, the most vulnerable population, the senior population. Your non-profit senior center’s Meals on Wheels program and other organizations that provide services for their nutritional needs to keep them healthy and in their own home and community may be affected and that would have a huge impact on your center.

At the non-profit level we may see budget decreases that would affect the services we deliver. So, please feel welcome to come and hear from the Congressman himself an update. I am sure he would like to hear your concerns and questions.
