In preparation for the workshop participants should make a private list of thoughts and feelings, memories of their Mom to bring to the workshop along with something personally significant to weave into their piece, such as a ribbon or piece of fabric, a feather, strips of paper with printed words, etc. Participants will take their tapestry home to display in a variety of ways. Your finished piece could make a special gift. Please also bring a favorite story about your Mom, a quote, a photo, or a poem to share with the group. Participants will receive a simple wooden 12' x 16” lap loom to use and take home after the workshop which is included in the materials fee. A varied selection of yarn and materials will be available at the workshop, however, feel free to bring yarn, string, fabric strips or additional materials to use in your personal weaving. There will also be an opportunity for participants to try out weaving on a floor loom and experience treadling while weaving.

You may bring your lunch or pick something up at a nearby restaurant during the lunch break.
