Please help support patients and families affected by cancer or a traumatic brain injury (TBI) at the 4th Annual “Spring into Summer” Sportswear Fashion Show on Saturday, April 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Burlington Conference Center. The event, which benefits the University of Vermont Cancer Center and Brain Injury Association of Vermont, has a theme of “Movement is Medicine.” The event features performances by local dance and athletic groups who will model the summer season’s hottest sportswear, as well as guest speakers Karen Newman - triathlete, author and cancer survivor - and Hannah Deene Wood - owner/operator of Talent Skatepark and a TBI survivor. Also Bill O'Connor will demonstrate seven essential movements for life. Tickets for the event also include door prizes, a silent auction, free dance and yoga instruction, and refreshments are available at www.springintosummervt.com or at the door. A local LuLaRoe retailer will be on site and will be giving away a free pair of leggings, as well as selling their inventory and donating a portion of each sale to the Vermont Cancer Association!
