Hooker Mtn. Farm will be offering it's second community learning workshop, Saturday, April 29th from 11-1:30 here on the farm. This workshop will focus on the home making of essential oils and hydrosols from locally gathered botanicals. The workshop will offer a hands on opportunity for participants to actually distill their own essential oil, learn about basic essential oil techniques, gathering and storing botanicals for oils, and where to gather equipment (or how to build your own) for in home essential oil making. All participants will leave the workshop with their own bottle of essential oil, made on the farm that day. Included in the participation fee is a farm charcuterie lunch of dry cured meat, local cheese, bread and pickles. The participation fee, including lunch is $20.
