2013 Waterbury Youth Soccer Officials' Clinic: Aug. 25

Past event
Aug 25, 2013, 11 AM

The Waterbury Youth Soccer (WYS) Season is upon us, and we need help officiating games for boys and girls in grades 3–6. Anyone (middle and high school students welcome!) interested in officiating should come to:

2013 WYS Officials' Clinic
Sunday, 8/25 at 11:00 am
Hope Davey Park.

Details about Officiating:
•Officials earn between $5-10 for each game they officiate, depending on their experience.
•Games are 50 minutes in length.
•Games are held on Saturdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.; as well as Tuesdays,Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.
•You need not know the rules of soccer because we will help you learn them. We're simply looking for responsible people with good attitudes. You'll be put on the Officials Roster and scheduled to officiate with another youth official.

As a welcome to the group and a tutorial in the game, Kane Smart will be holding an Officials' Clinic
on Sunday, 8/25, at 11:00 am at Hope Davey Park. The Clinic will involve a discussion of the rules,
some game simulation, and a short quiz. It should last no more than two hours. If you can, please
bring with you a whistle, pencil, sneakers, and coin.

Please join us for the new season. Spread the word and recruit your friends. Share this info with anyone who might be interested in officiating.
