"Girl Rising will be shown at the Roxy in Burlington on Nov. 7 at 7:00 . "Girl Rising" was created by 10x10, a global movement to educate and empower girls. The film tells the true stories of nine girls around the world who overcame incredible obstacles on their path toward getting an education. The stories are narrated by Meryl Streep and Selma Hayek and are backed up by stunning cinematography.

Half the proceeds go to reputable education programs and half to the Roxy.
