National Eating Disorders Association Walk

Past event
Apr 22, 2017, 9 to 11 AM

Did you know that 30 million men and women will suffer from an eating disorder in their lifetimes? This is one of the many reasons that I personally am participating in the Burlington NEDA Walk to benefit the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) and I would like to invite you all to join us to walk as well!

We will be walking from UVM around Burlington on April 22nd to help bring awareness to the disorder and the lack of a "cure" - this will be an easy walk (and dogs are welcome to join in the festivities) so if you are looking for a way to spend Earth Day, please consider joining us.

NEDA is a nonprofit organization that provides lifesaving programs and services to individuals and families affected by eating disorders. NEDA is dedicated to erasing the stigma surrounding eating disorders, promoting positive body image and discouraging dangerous diet behaviors.

Please consider this an opportunity to bring your family and spend a wonderful day outside walking, in honor and/or in memory of those touched by eating disorders. NEDA supports individuals and families affected by eating disorders, and serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures and access to quality care.

To find out more information about the walk, please head to: https://www.nedawalk.org/burlington2017.

We are also seeking donations and sponsorship opportunities for the walk, so please contact me at takeaimer@yahoo.com for more information if you would like to donate financially or offer a service or product to be raffled off at the event.

Cheers,
AM
