What will occur at the Annual Village Meeting this year? The warning for the Village Meeting lists the business that will be conducted at this year’s annual meeting and can be viewed here http://townofjohnson.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/warning-April-4-2017.pdf. This information can also be found in the Annual Report you should have received this week in the mail (copies are also available at the Municipal Building or online at http://townofjohnson.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/2016villagereport.pdf). The 2017 Village Meeting will include votes on the Village’s General Department budget and the election of several Village officers, including a Clerk, Treasurer, two Auditors, and two Trustees.

In addition to the official business that will be voted on, the Village Trustees and staff will be available to discuss other Village matters, including the Village-owned electric, water, and sewer utilities. If you are a Village resident, please plan to attend the annual Village Meeting on Tuesday, April 4th at 7:30 PM at the Municipal Building (second floor – elevator available). For those of you with young children, there will be child care available at the meeting provided by local teens who have completed their babysitter’s certification. There will also be a Meet & Greet with the Trustees beginning at 7:00 PM with refreshments prior to the start of the meeting.
