Past event
Mar 30, 2017, 7 to 8 PM

Hello neighbors!

We're holding a planning & organizing meeting for Montpelier's March for Science April 22nd event --- a rally on the Capitol lawn. This meeting is to start planning the structure of the event, draw up a list of things to do, and to get a sense of who might want to help. Anyone who would like to be involved or contribute ideas is very welcome. If you can't make it to the meeting but would still like to be involved, please send me an email.

Meeting details:
Thursday, March 30th
7pm-8pm
at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library
downstairs meeting room (in the basement)

March for Science events are demonstrations in support of science --- research, education, grassroots community projects, and evidence-based policy. This movement strives to be representative of our diverse communities and be intersectional, inclusive, and accessible.

March for Science events will take place in cities and towns across the United States on April 22nd (Earth Day!). Vermont has four sister events (Burlington, Rutland, Battleboro, and Montpelier).

March for Science mission: "The March for Science champions robustly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity. We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common good and for political leaders and policy makers to enact evidence based policies in the public interest."
