The League of Women Voters encourages you to stay informed about and engaged with your local governance, and not just at election time! Local government provides an inspiring opportunity to see how amazing our democracy is, and needs your participation to work its best. One great resource for St. Johnsbury residents is that you can request that your email be added to the Town's email list, and then you will receive Town news, which is really helpful! The most recent news from the Town is that the Selectboard is meeting on Monday, March 27th at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Johnsbury Welcome Center. The Selectboard meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, so plan to attend or at least to check the Town website afterwards to read the minutes--http://stjvt.com/index.php/calendar-2.html. You can also find the meeting agenda there beforehand. Bookmark this address and check it regularly (it also provides info re: the School Board and other Boards). You can even watch the meetings on KATV from the comfort of your own home (but then you don't get to ask questions!).
