ACE Film Resilience at Charlotte Congregational

Past event
Mar 26, 2017, 11 AM to 12 PM

The Charlotte Congregational Church on Church Hill Rd. in Charlotte is showing the film "Resilience" on Sunday March 26 after our morning service at 11:15 AM. This film is about the adult health effects of childhood trauma (Adverse Childhood Experiences - ACEs) or "The silent epidemic no one is talking about." The film explains how negative childhood experiences such as abuse or death of a parent can lead to adult disease, emotional trauma, and shortened life expectancy. Please join us at our church to learn more about this research and discuss what we can do in our communities to offset toxic trauma and promote resiliency. Our thanks to the Charlotte Library for obtaining this film for use in our community.
