The Chinese Energetics of Spring: Wood-Liver
Wed. March 29, 5-6:30, Hawthorn Center, 8A Main St., Bristol (over Cubbers)
How do we understand and align with the vibrant energy of spring? In the 5-Element system of Chinese medicine, a balanced “Wood-Liver” energy allows us to live with a fulfilling vision, supported by creativity, flexibility, sensible planning and the smooth expression of will and Qi. Most of us either under-express this energy (lacking clear goals and confidence and repressing our emotions) or we tend to over-express it, tending to stress, over-control and perhaps anger.
Come learn about the basic properties of the “Wood-Liver” phase, its physical, emotional and spiritual aspects, and what kinds of medicinal herbs and life-style choices will help us to align with this wonderful rising energy, so that our Qi can flow smoothly throughout our bodies and minds.
This is the first of a series of classes on disharmonies associated with the “Wood-Liver” phase. For more details visit Margi’s website at www.springmountainherbs.com
