Public Forum--Saxtons River Valley Trails Initiative

Past event
Mar 29, 2017, 6:30 to 8 PM

Would you enjoy hiking, biking, or running along forest and river trails from one Vermont village to the next? If yes, please attend the next meeting of the Saxtons River Valley Trails Initiative. It will be on Wednesday March 29 at 6:30 PM on the top floor of the Rockingham Public Library, 65 Westminster Street in Bellows Falls, VT. Doors will open at 6:30 PM to allow participants to browse displays and area maps. A brief presentation will begin at 7:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served.

The newly formed Saxtons River Valley Trails Initiative is a collaboration between the Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association, the Bald Hill Conservation Committee, and the Rockingham Conservation Commission. Members from these groups are exploring the possibilities of connecting the Bellows Falls Historic Riverfront Park and Trail System to the Bald Hill trails in Westminster, and then continuing on to Saxtons River and beyond. The ultimate hope is to connect this expanded trail system with the larger, established Windmill Hill Pinnacle system of over 25 miles of trails that runs from Putney Mountain to Grafton. Initiative members are eager for suggestions and support to move this project forward.
