Movie Night Fundraiser and Silent Auction for Flint MI

The Brownies are holding another movie night! This year our Troops are learning all about water; how to save it, protect it and respect it. So, when deciding on our service project this year, it made a lot of sense to our scouts to do something for other children who do not have access to safe water.

We decided on doing another movie night but this time with a silent auction component. All proceeds from our movie night will be sent to the Foundation for Flint. This organization is charged with providing clean bottled water as well as heavy duty home filtration systems for the families of Flint, Michigan and is providing Lead Poisoning treatment to children in Flint as well.
Unfortunately this is an ongoing and multifaceted problem and effects an extremely vulnerable population: poverty stricken children in a food desert with limited transportation.
The Flint water crisis has touched the hearts of people nationwide. Brownie Troops 30049 and 30532 are hosting a Family Movie Night on Friday, March 31st, at 6:30 in the CES Cafeteria to support the Foundation for Flint.
Please help the Girl Scout Brownies help our friends in Flint. Come watch a movie (Moana) with us! The cost is $5.00 per family. Snacks will be available for a small fee AND we will have a Silent Auction so be sure to bring some extra money.
We hope you can help us help others.
