This award-winning documentary probes the vulnerable corners of family life, including the director's, and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games, academics, and internet addiction. Screenagers is about the impact of the digital age on children and how to help families minimize harmful effects and find balance. Through surprising insights from authors and brain scientists, solutions emerge on how we can empower kids to best navigate the digital world. After seeing the film, people have said that they feel more confident and better equipped to establish balance around screen time.
Join us on Wednesday, March 29th at 7:00 pm in the VUHS Auditorium. The film is a little longer than an hour and there will be a short optional discussion afterward. Students in grades 7-12 will view and discuss the documentary prior to the 29th. We hope this allows parents and students to talk with each other about the challenges of the digital age. If you can’t make the showing on the 29th, you are welcome to join us during the student viewings on Thursday, March 23rd at 9:25 AM or 1:15 PM.
