Green River Reservoir – a Special Place for Exploring Nature is the topic on Sunday, March 19th at 2 PM at the Johnson Public Library on Railroad Street.
Ron Kelley and Eric Nuse, members of the Friends of Green River Reservoir will present a slide show and talk. Audubon quality pictures will track wildlife, birds and flowers through the seasons at the Reservoir.
Formerly a forest insect and disease specialist and an excellent photographer, Ron is retired from the VT Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation. Ron has been exploring the reservoir by paddle and camera since 1974.
Eric Nuse will give a brief summary of the current status of the Green River Dam Hydro re-licensing project and the Friends of Green River Reservoir’s involvement in the process. Eric is a former Lamoille County Game Warden who has paddled, fished and explored the area since 1972.
