“Listening to Each Other: Diversity in Our Communities” is the topic for a Forum on Diversity which will take place on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 4:00 pm at the Stowe Town Hall. The program is free and open to the public. The Panel discussion, sponsored by the Greater Stowe Interfaith Coalition, will be moderated by Amy Noyes, Public Post Reporter for VPR and a member of our wider community. There will be six panelists joining in the conversation including a retired minister, two high school educators, a sheriff and others from the surrounding communities. The discussion will also include an opportunity for members of the audience to participate if they wish. The panel will talk about important events that helped shape their self-identity and how certain experiences affected their acceptance of people unlike themselves. They will contemplate, along with the audience, how we can all come together and talk about our differences in conversations and in potential relationships with people from other cultures, races, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, etc. All are welcome, childcare provided. Call 253-8291 with questions.
