RUTH HOROWITZ
Sunday, March 19 at 1 PM
Flying Pig Bookstore, Shelburne Road, Shelburne

Join us in welcoming Ruth Horowitz back to Vermont to celebrate the arrival of her new book, Are We Still Friends?, which is perfect for ages 3-6. Illustrated with sweet and clever illustrations by Blanca Gomez, Are We Still Friends? is the story of Beatrice and Abel. Beatrice raises bees and Abel grows apples. When a bee sting causes some upset, the two animal pals have a little work to do. Friendship and nature form the perfect pair in this warm and winsome celebration of teamwork, ecology, and the art of saying "I'm sorry." We are so excited that Ruth will be at the store to read her story and sign books for young fans!

MAC BARNETT & JON KLASSEN
Thursday, March 23, 3:30- 5 PM
Shelburne Town Hall (adjacent to the Pierson Library), Shelburne

Multiple-award-winning, New York Times-bestselling duo Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen are visiting Vermont to celebrate their new book! Together, they are the masterminds behind Sam and Dave Dig a Hole. Separately, they are the creators of wildly popular books, such as Klassen’s I Want My Hat Back, This Is Not My Hat, and We Found a Hat, and Barnett’s Extra Yarn, Battle Bunny, the Brixton Brothers, Leo: A Ghost Story, and many many more. Kids will love these guys! They’re very funny, personable, and great with a crowd. They’re visiting Shelburne to present their new picture book collaboration, Triangle. The book, which targets ages 4-9, is a slyly funny tale about some very sneaky shapes. Triangle is visually stunning and full of wry humor -- and could only come from the minds of two of today’s most irreverent and talented young picture book creators. This is sure to be a very, very popular event. Come early if you can!
