SBPA Mixer at Douglas Sweets

Past event
Mar 21, 2017, 6 to 8 PM

Tuesday evening, March 21 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Douglas Sweets is located at 22 Sage Court, the first street off Graham Way in the Shelburne Green Business Park.

Mixers are a fun opportunity to network and sample some delicious “made right here in town” treats.

SBPA President Tod Whitaker will update members on the many says that SBPA membership benefits local businesses, by underwriting regional and state-wide advertising, making a connection for SBPA members to the services of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, and maintaining a webpage that SBPA members can use to publicize their services to the public, whether local residents seeking professional support or tourists looking for information about lodgings, restaurants, attractions or shopping.

Douglas Sweets owner and founder Debra Townsend, who began her business in Bolton and moved to the Vermont Artisan Village early last summer, will tell the story of making the traditional Scottish shortbread from her Scottish mother’s recipe, baking for friends, gradually expanding the production and gradually introducing new ingredients, and now producing sweets that are sold in stores throughout Vermont and New Hampshire and beyond.

SBPA mixers are free. No registration required.
