Anything Goes Slam at Grange Hall Saturday

Past event

The Grange Hall Cultural Center is proud to announce:

A MaUPsh (pronounced Mash Up) Anything Goes Slam
Saturday, March 18th @ 7pm
Pay what you can at the door
All ages invited and encouraged to participate

Featuring sacrificial MaUPsh performers Songwriter Bob HannanCannan and VT Slam Poet Laureate, Geof Hewitt, we welcome you to see if the voice of a solo poet can outscore a barbershop quartet accompanied by harp and saxophone, if a lullaby can out-lull tap-dance syncopation, or an emerging bard will be revealed. Truly anything written goes here, so prepare your inner orator, muster your courage for healthy competition, and be ready to laugh and be inspired.

Not just writers, but musicians, comedians, magicians, story-tellers, quartets and choirs have up to 5 minutes on stage with original work or covers, scored in frivolous competition by randomly chosen audience members, with hopes of winning the fabulous prize, "a brand new musical instrument"!

Sign up at the door or just come to enjoy (and maybe serve as a judge).
