Read. Discuss. Crush a Cup of Wine. Vermont Shakespeare Festival is launching its 2017 Salon Series with a reading of The Merchant of Venice, Sunday, March 19th, 3 p.m. in Williston. Actors Paul Ugalde and Jena Necrason will read Shylock and Portia. Other roles will be read by actors, and readers will be drawn from those in attendance.

Wendi Stein of Theatre Kavanah for an important discussion about
prejudice, cultural identity, justice, and how/if we can make this play work in 2017.
