OUR CLIMATE: YOUTH MAPLE MOSAIC ART PROJECT “A Vermont Statewide Youth and Young Adult Maple Tree Assembled from individual 12” x 12” art pieces. Bringing Climate awareness and action into focus through Art and Policy advocacy.” Focused toward young adults and youth born in 1987 onward, however ALL AGES ARE WELCOME TO COME AND PARTICIPATE!
The art created during this meeting will be part of the Youth Lobby Day taking place in Montpelier, April 12.
Organized for Community By: Youth Home School Geology Students Taking place at: Dorothy Alling Library, Williston Monday, March 20, 3:30-5 pm
1. Learn how fossil fuels are formed, what happens when they are burned and how it contributes to greenhouse gasses. Representative Jim McCullough will share what is being done at a state level to support a healthy climate?
2. Participate in an art project: Create a 12” x 12” tile answering question “Why do you love Vermont? Why carbon tax and other policies?” using various materials. These will be collected and taken to VPIRG in Burlington to be added to this state youth art project! All materials included.
