Join us at this reception celebrating the winners of this year’s Greater Barre Community Writing Contest. Writers from kindergarten through senior citizens submitted poems, prose, and essays on the theme of “Finding Voice”, inspired by this year’s Vermont Reads book, Jacqueline Woodson's "Brown Girl Dreaming. Winners will read aloud from their pieces as we celebrate Barre's talented writers of all ages! Light refreshments served thanks to members of the Writing Contest Committee and Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Reception takes place in the Milne Community Room of the Aldrich Public Library, 6 Washington St. in Barre.
