Despite the cold and snowy weather, the Hyde Park Community Circle is thinking about spring! We hope you can join us at our annual “Think Spring – Puppets and Plants” event, scheduled for this Saturday, March 18th from 11:00am-1:30pm in the Hyde Park Elementary School gym. Attendees will be treated to a wonderful puppet show from the No Strings Marionette Company who will be performing “The Snowmaiden.” Puppeteers Dan Baginski and Barbara Paulson craft all of their own puppets, design and paint their own scenery, and voice the puppets in the show–it should be a fun experience for all ages!
In addition, there will be a spring craft activity for children and kiddos can also pot their own little plant to take home. This year, plant selections include calendulas, sunflowers, marigolds and bachelor buttons. There will be free lunch and other refreshments, as well! We are still looking for “cupcake volunteers,” folks who would be willing to bake and bring cupcakes to the event. Please email event coordinator Antonia Kontos for more detail.
