Burlington College's Institute for Civic Engagement presents its latest lecture in the series "Race & Racism." The series explores the new face of racism and America's new Apartheid.

Next week’s lecture is called “An Analysis of Edward Snowden” and will be presented by Sandy Baird on Wednesday, October 30 at 6:15 PM in Room 253 at Burlington College.

Edward Snowden is an American computer specialist who worked as a government contractor for the CIA and the NSA and leaked details of several top-secret U.S. and British government mass-surveillance programs to the press in the interest of the public’s right to know.

Sandy Baird is a lawyer and historian who serves on the faculty of Burlington College, teaching Law, History, and Politics. She is the director of Justice and Legal Studies, Paralegal, Burlington College/Cuba Overseas Study Program, International Studies, Pro Se Legal Clinic, and Institute for Civic Engagement.
