On Saturday, April 15, join neighbors, friends, Castleton University students, faculty and staff to learn, question, appreciate, and even dislike some modern works of art! Enjoy a full day of immersion in massive, intriguing art (some beautiful, some mystifying, all fascinating) at Mass MOCA, an enormous world class museum featuring contemporary art, and Dia Beacon, the country’s premier museum for 1960’s art.
The tour includes visual introductory lectures on the bus by Professor Emeritus Bill Ramage so we’ll be ready to explore; official museum tours with free time to view the works on our own; and lunch overlooking the Hoosic River in North Adams.
The cost is $60 and includes transportation, admissions, tours and lunch. The bus leaves from CU campus at 7:30 am and returns at approximately 11:00 pm.
There’s limited room so please reserve early by contacting Martha Molnar at marthalmolnar@gmail.com (note the “l” in email) or 468-5125.
The ART TOUR is a joint effort of the Bridge Initiative and Castleton University Soundings Program.
