Yesterday, I attended the first of a series of four gatherings to watch a film about the power of forgiveness and engage in discussion with neighbors from Jeffersonville, Cambridge, Waterville, Bakersfield and Johnson . It was a very open and warm meeting, and I highly recommend joining the remainder of the meetings if you can. We all have a lot to learn, practice, and understand about forgiveness (especially in today's world), and to recognize the healing that it can bring to our own lives as well as others. Although the film is being shown at the Jeffersonville church, and the discussion is facilitated by Pastors Barbara Purinton and Gary O' Gorman, it is not focused on religion and shares stories and lessons from many situations around the world.
The remainder of the discussions will take place on the next three Sundays (March 12, 19, and 26) from 2 - 3 PM. Bring a snack to share. All are welcome.
