To all our Brookfield neighbors - Please join us on Saturday, March 11 from 10:00 am to noon at the Brookfield Elementary School for our second annual Public Safety Education Event. We'll have a program for Adults, a separate program for kids age 8 through high school and a Drug Drop Off for Rx drugs you need to dispose of. For the adults, the topics include Home Security, Crime Prevention and Safety Tips, Crime Prevention as Related to the Opiate Crisis, Fire Safety Tips for Your Home, Pet Responsibilities - You and Your Neighbors, Wild Animals Around Us - Staying Safe, Dealing with Troublesome Animals, and Whom Do You Call For What Types of Issues? For the kids, The Orange County Sheriff's Department will be presenting the LEAD Program (Law Enforcement Against Drugs) and Leading Healthy Happy and Confident Lives. It is fun and highly interactive for the kids. The program is sponsored by the Brookfield Public Safety Advisory Committee.
