LCBP Hosts the Champlain Line, Underground Railroad

On Thursday, the Lake Champlain Basin Program will host Don Papson, co-founder, North Star Underground Railroad Museum at Ausable Chasm, NY. Don, a well known North Country author, will discuss the history of the Underground Railroad along Lake Champlain's western shore.

Please join LCBP for dessert and coffee for this one hour program beginning at 6:30 pm at our office in Grand Isle. The office is the first building north of the Grand Isle ferry in the historic Gordon Center House. Arrive a few minutes early to explore the interpretive panels about the history of this site and the families who have lived on site over time. For further information please call LCBP at 372-3213.
