Citizens Commission for a Vermont State Bank

Past event
Mar 6, 2017, 1:30 to 3:30 PM

We are convening the Citizen’s Commission for a Vermont State Bank for the first time to demonstrate that the legislation proposed in H. 208 and S. 48 to formally establish a Commission for a Vermont State Bank has broad public support. We welcome anyone to join our citizen's commission who has a sincere interest in learning why 40% of the world uses public bank financing for infrastructure, economic development, and other important public priorities. Vermont has an average $350M daily balance in TD Bank, and we spend over $800,000 a year on banking services. This could be used better for Vermonters. Join us on March 6th to learn more about the idea of a state bank and enjoy some fun!
