What to Bring to Rabies Clinic

Past event
Mar 4, 2017

While I know that right now everyone is looking forward to the East Montpelier Town Forum this Saturday morning March 4th and then Town Meeting on Tuesday the 7th, please allow me to fast forward a little bit and remind you that the state of Vermont's deadline for renewing your dog's license, is Monday April 3rd this year (the 1st falls on Saturday).

The East Montpelier Fire Station's Auxiliary is hosting their Annual Rabies Clinic for 2017, on Thursday evening March 23rd from 6 until 7:30PM at the East Montpelier Fire House, where local veterinarians Dr. Stuwe & Dr. Comstock will offer your pets rabies shots and Town Officials will be in attendance, processing Animal License renewals, prior to the upcoming deadline.

Please note: I'm told that in past years, most people have predominantly paid their renewal fees with twenty dollar bills, but this year, to expedite the process, please consider bringing smaller bills or paying by check. The cost of the rabies shot is separate from the cost of the License Renewal fee, and more information on cost can be obtained from the East Montpelier Fire Station Auxiliary. Renewal checks for licenses should be made out to the Town of East Montpelier, and Renewal Fees are $ 9.00 for sprayed or neutered dogs and $ 13.00 for unaltered animals.

Your help on this would speed up the process for everyone, and would be greatly appreciated by everyone. We hope to see you all then, (or before, at the Town Forum or at Town Meeting).

Thank you very much. - CJ Flynn, East Montpelier Town Clerk.
