Join us in welcoming Charles Winkleman, East District City Council candidate, to a meet-and-greet at our home this Sunday March 5th at 7:30 pm. Meet neighbors, ask the candidate questions, and hear Charles speak as to how he can serve this community if elected to the City Council. And, then vote on Town Meeting Day Tuesday, March 7th.

Charles Winkleman has shown an unwavering commitment to working and middle class families of Burlington. After graduating UVM with a degree in early childhood education, he went to work at Burlington Children's Space in the Old North End, in a Head Start classroom. As a member of the community he mentors youth through Howard Center Community Friends, and as a library commissioner has developed several pilot projects to help marginalized families feel more comfortable using one of your city's best resources. And, as chair of the Burlington Progressive Party Charles has shown a commitment working towards Progressive issues such as a $15 minimum wage, robust citywide Early Childhood education, and creating a community that considers all of our needs, no matter your background, faith, race, or country of origin.
