Town Meeting: Event for the Whole Family

Past event
Mar 7, 2017

As a child, Town Meeting Day was like Christmas morning in March! I remember we'd get up early, dress a little nicer than the usual, meet up with friends, and most definitely get our little hands on something far too sweet for my mother's liking at 9am! :)

I remember wild and often escalated discussions on topics I didn't understand, but if it was important to my parents, it was important to me.

I also remember Town Meeting being a bustling social event with everyone I knew (a few generations deep) there, which was a much needed hit of humanity after what seemed to be the L O N G E S T staycation ever!

It is my hope that our efforts to (re)create the Town Meeting of my childhood will inspire you and your family- young and old- to come out this year to support AND celebrate our unique little town and all its offerings.

In addition to all day voting in the Library, the Select Board's morning presentation and the School Board's after lunch presentation, please join us for:

8:30-9am: Pie Breakfast and "Meet and Greet your Select Board" Coffee Hour with live music (gym)
8:45am- 3pm: Meet your Volunteer Boards and Info/Get Involved Booths (back of the gym)
9am-3pm: JES Student Art Show: vote for your favorite student team! (gym walls)
9am-3pm: Free on site childcare for 3-8 year olds in the Pre-K classroom (#206), and quiet "in your seat" arts&craft projects and trivia games for kids 9 and up (gym)
9am-3pm: Girl Scout Cookies for sale (hallway)
Noon(ish)-1pm: Pot Luck Luncheon Fundraiser and Social with live music ($5 suggested donation)

Hope to see you and your entourage there on the 7th!
