Snowshoe Trek at Prindle Woodlot

Past event
Mar 5, 2017, 10 to 11:30 AM

A snowshoe trek on the town-owned Prindle Woodlot on Sunday, March 5th will kick-off the Johnson Conservation Commission’s annual March Gladness series. The woodlot consists of 25 land-locked acres, which can be accessed from about 1755 Plot Road, along a deeded right-of-way across the Brent Jennison property. The Prindle Woodlot features a lovely stream, abundant wildlife, and quiet solitude. The snowshoe trek will be reasonably paced with wildlife experts Noel Dodge and Eric Nuse to help with the identification of wildlife signs in the snow or maybe mud. Step-off will be at 10 AM with the trek expected to last about 90 minutes. Participants are asked not to bring dogs to this event. There is snow in the woods now but by Sunday the conditions may have changed so that good hiking boots will be more appropriate for the hike. Questions contact Lois at 635-7826.
